Example Yacht Charter Itinerary in Alaska

Alaska Yacht Charter – Itinerary

Day 1.  As you step out of the plane and onto the tarmac, your captain will be waiting to greet you.  After settling into your chartered motoryacht from Taylor’d Yacht Charters, your yacht will head out to sea for your first taste of the last frontier.

Day 2.  When you wake up in the morning, you will be in Alaska.  After breakfast the chief of the local Tlingit Tribe will take you on a walk around a traditional Indian village.  After lunch, the boat’s helicopter will whisk you away for your first sighting of one of Alaska’s special sights, Misty Fiord.

Day 3.  This morning there may be a chance to see bears in their natural environment.  After lunch we will fly you north to a fishing lodge.  At night your
chartered yachts from Taylor’d Yacht Charters will be anchoring in a secluded cove near Zarembo Island.

Day 4.  Today, we will sail through waters full of whales, porpoises, and occasionally the rare Pomeraine Jaeger.  Once anchored off Petersburg, you can walk with the yacht’s naturalist into the rain forest on Kupreanof Island.

Day 5.  After breakfast the boat will be anchoring off the Le Conte glacier.  Here you have the unique opportunity to kayak between the ice floes.  Then the crew will take you up the fiord to the base of the calving Le Conte Glacier.  The afternoon will be spent flying up and over the glacier.

Day 6.  Today you can go whale watching or halibut fishing in the tender or sportsfisher.  The sea is full of natural wild life:  Humpback whales, Orca whales, seals, sealions, dolphins, sea eagles, and salmon to name but a few.

Day 7.  The Sawyer Glacier beckons.  It’s a stunning sight and a rare experience.  Then it is back to last night’s anchorage to lift the crab pots and see what’s for supper.  Fresh Alaskan crab is probably the best crab you’ll ever have.

Day 8.  As we head out of Frederick Sound, you will go ashore via helicopter or tender to a local village for a day of fishing.  As the afternoon draws to a close your Taylor’d Yacht Charters yacht heads across the Chatham Strait to spend the night in one of Alaska’s secret places, Gut Bay.

Day 9.  After leaving Gut Bay we will make a stop at Warm Springs Bay where you can enjoy a natural, hot spring bath.  Then we resume our northwards journey heading for Hoonah in Icy Strait.

Day 10.  This morning we enter Auke Bay as your Alaskan holiday draws to a close.  Once tied up and having completed the Customs and Immigration formalities, the captain and crew will accompany you to the airport.
