St Lucia Yacht Charter – Itinerary
ST. LUCIA TO GRENADA – Arrive at St. Lucia airport to be greeted and escorted to Rodney Bay Marina. Thecrew will welcome you aboard with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments; and if you desire, unpack your bags while you are given a tour of your new home for the next week. Relax, unwind, or rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle for some exploring or hiking, stroll the shops, or take an afternoon swim. Tomorrow is a big day.
Day 1: Awake and refreshed, having already enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by your Chef, we’ll leave for a short cruise to Soufriere, St. Lucia and the famous Pitons. For sheer physical beauty, the area around here is outstanding. Soufriere is a small picturesque town of French Creole ancestry. This is a huge day for photographers. The Pitons are sheer mountains that start at the sea and tower 2600 feet almost straight up.
Day 2: Leaving After breakfast, Your yacht arrives at the island of Bequia, which is also known as the “Big Little Island.” An old whaling island, Bequia is a favorite among yachtsmen. Boats are still built by hand on the beaches here. Descending from Scots and French, the inhabitants of Admiralty Harbor are proud people. Diving is exceptional and can be arranged for you by your Captain. A land tour is also recommended to appreciate this tropical Nantucket, with its unique magical charm.
Day 3: Today we leave Bequia behind and depart for Mustique which is a privately owned island that has been developed for the wealthy. It is home to such notable figures as Mick Jagger, Racquel Welsh, David Bowie and the late Princess Margaret, to name a few. Parts of the Island are wild natural pristine beaches, swaying palms with panoramic views of azure seas and beautiful landscaped fields of vision. Relax in pure luxury at the plantation style Cotton House or watch the sunset at the legendary Bazils Bar with the water lapping under your feet. Bazils is a common hangout for Mick Jagger and other celebrities so don’t be surprised if you bump into Mick and the boys. If you yearn for a bit more adventure, drive your own “mule”, a 4×4 enlarged golf cart around this unique island and leisurely explore your own tropical paradise.
Day 4-5: You will spend the next two days being pampered onboard your yacht by the attentive crew in and around Mayreau in the heart of the Grenadine Islands. This small outpost of islets consists of powdery beaches and the bluest water you will ever see; two days of watersports, beach parties, snorkeling, and exploring the wonders of this gem in the Caribbean. The calm Tobago anchorage sits behind a huge reef protecting it. The only thing between you and the coast of Africa is water.
Day 6: Leaving the splendor of the Grenadines will be tough on you, but the famous island of Grenada awaits you with lush green mountains, waterfalls and golden beaches. renada is the “Isle of Spice,” due to the abundance of spice trees not its lively history. Grenada is now a full democracy and has fully embraced tourism. Today and tomorrow will only give you a taste of the island’s treasures ensuring your return. A Crater Lake, waterfall after waterfall, and people’s favorite – the monkeys; touring this island is comparable to a safari.
